The Director of Retention Marketing with be responsible for development and execution of strategies related to CRM channels including email, direct mail and social media. They will create a targeted customer communications strategy with the goal of driving repeat sales, building loyalty and increasing lifetime value. Success will include developing data driven testing protocols to accurately measure the incremental lift driven by retention strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain end-to-end communications program including e-mail and direct mail calendars.
• Drive continued optimization of the email marketing programs including testing, segmentation, personalization, triggered programs and transactional messaging.
• Execute cross-channel customer experience for first time customer welcome strategy, repeat customers loyalty messaging and win-back campaigns for lapsed customers.
• Leverage behavioral data to develop new ways to engage and communicate with customer cohorts across marketing channels.
• Manage the benefits, messaging strategy and measure the impact of the PersonalizationMall.com reward program.
• Oversee the customer retention campaigns on social media properties including the custom audience strategies on Facebook and Pinterest.
• Build and execute targeted retention campaigns on the display channel.
• Develop and oversee the package insert and direct mail programs, supervising the creative process and manage relationships with third party printers.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Experience planning resources, managing deadlines and objectives, and delivering analysis/recommendations.
• Proven success leveraging predictive analytics to drive targeting and segmentation.
• Strong analytic skills. Ability to understand marketing data, build reports, analyze results in meaningful and actionable ways related to business goals.
• Proven success executing cross-channel marketing initiatives
• In-depth experience in measurement of incremental results based on A/B testing, multivariate testing and control group studies.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices in behaviorally triggered email programs
• Excellent business analytical, written and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of HTML is preferred.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing field
• 10 years of relevant E-Commerce experience in areas including email, loyalty/rewards, social media, customer segmentation and strategic planning.
