VP Talent
The Vice President of Talent shapes and implements strategies to develop and retain high performing and high-potential employees. The Vice President of Talent’s responsibilities will include designing employee training programs, implementing organizational effectiveness initiatives and guiding organizational succession planning. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting, operational discipline combined with a strategic, business-oriented mindset.

Job Duty
Learning & Development
-Design and deliver employee training programs, including business unit, competency-based and leadership training, to enhance performance
-Manage succession planning and career management programs
-Lead a performance based culture by designing development programs to improve results and develop tools that will enable a more engaged workforce
-Evolve a leadership development model and framework to ensure that current and future leadership needs are met and succession plans are in place across the organization
Talent Acquisition and Retention
-Ensure that Talent Acquisition strategies align with long-term talent development plans to create a complete and well-rounded Talent Management approach
-Facilitate strategy development by identifying root cause issues while working with business leaders to develop and implement action plans
-Create and manage effective tools, rewards, processes and development programs to ensure engagement and retention of high value employees
Organizational Effectiveness
-Demonstrate skilled vendor assessment and management capabilities to select highest impact third party companies to support organization’s talent goals
-Participate in the restructuring HR systems and processes that result in improved business performance while reducing costs and increasing efficiencies
-Leverage industry best practices to ensure effective service delivery in both L&D and Talent acquisition areas
Organizational Development
-Identify talent-related gaps and recommend thoughtful solutions, grounded by company strategy, to drive individual and organizational performance improvement and build capability
-Create strategy that identifies roles/skills required in the future and creates learning approach to address
-Define Organizational Effectiveness and Organizational Development (OE/OD) philosophy; devise and manage the real-time implementation of corresponding programs
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports
• Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
• May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
• Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job
• Travel up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications
The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
(Preferred): Master's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience
• 10+ years of experience in progressive HR/OD roles leading and facilitating processes within a large, complex organization
Highly flexible, relationship-oriented individual experienced in the direct development and implementation of talent development methodologies that have been proven drivers of improved business performance
Analytical, business-oriented thinker with hands-on operational experience, including direct P&L management responsibility
Systems implementation experience demonstrating the ability to align processes and systems to support the organization’s strategic objectives
Thrive in a matrix environment and promote strong teamwork across business groups and functions by sharing of ideas and information
Strong relationship management skills, high level of resourcefulness, influence/organizational savvy, strategicv vision, executional skills, executive presence
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
• Strong prioritization skills
• Skill in supervising to include delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance

Environmental & Physical Requirements
Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
