MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Setting the people agenda for the Americas region in collaboration with the Americas management team
• Responsible for driving the HR agenda in the Americas region, ensuring that priorities in the region are in line with regional Americas HR initiatives and in support of the local retail market HR agenda
• Work closely with the global HR team in ensuring all global HR initiatives are aligned and implemented successfully
• Responsible for ensuring strong HR business partnering in the retail markets in the region as well as at a corporate level
• Provide HR business input and coaching to the Americas leadership team and the HR directors in the Americas markets
• Responsible for supporting a strong organizational culture and company values
• Be part of a performance based management culture
• Develop HR competencies and implement a strong HR business partnering approach
• Lead overall HR activities across Americas for talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, compensation & benefits, and performance management in line with business objectives
• Ensure legal compliance within the area of HR
• Develop and implement HR activities to enhance employee engagement
• Drive internal talent development to ensure strong succession plans are in place
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Extensive HR experience in a retail company
• Experience working for an international organization
• Experienced people leader in an international context
• Experience and knowledgeable in regards to HR systems
• Ability to have a strategic focus and understand an operational view
• Strong commercial business acumen
• Pragmatic solutions orientated person who thrives working in a sales driven organization
• Experience of implementing change management programs
• Experience with implementing HR systems is advantageous
• Academic or professional qualification
