Position Summary
We are seeking a Director of enterprise data strategy accountable for building an enterprise strategy around big data and data lake analytic offering that is focused on Big data and data lake implementation, Data Quality Management and Master Data Management including enterprise patient data and customer contact data. As a director, overseeing the business implementation and user acceptance of data strategy projects and working with IT and business units to ensure that data projects deliver against identified business use cases and priorities. You will supervise ongoing data management activities within the Enterprise Analytics team and bring automation and customer-focus to data management processes. Working closely with colleagues in Enterprise Analytics, IT, cross-functional business leaders and subject matter experts, you will ensure that we have clearly defined business requirements and use cases and data quality standards for data/ analytic investments, and will partner with IT and business units to ensure that enterprise data investments deliver against identified business requirements. The director must have strong analytic and data capabilities, and be able to work with a diverse set of internal customers to translate business objectives and concepts into requirements around data and analytics (e.g., methods, reporting, and tools.). You will bring your strong experience in building analytical tools to support analytic discovery projects and rapid prototyping of analytical layers and reporting with a view to reducing the manual effort requiring multiple analysts across business areas to create reports and insights.
Required Qualifications
To qualify for this role, a minimum of 10 years of significant experience in delivering data management, analytics/reporting solutions, and data warehousing experience including experience in defining Big data strategy and executing big data projects. Experience in working with cross functional business teams to understand the business needs in developing business case, value proposition for data and analytical usecases to define and manage the information management data strategy and road map. Also experience in Experience in leading and guiding matrix business and IT teams to co-ordinate rapid prototyping and data discovery, as well as business support for both big data and traditional data warehouse and data management, and analytical development processes. 10 years progressively responsible experience in development and management of high performing teams and best in class project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare industry experience
Lean six-sigma certification
Education
Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, statistics, or other quantitative discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
