Position Summary
The Director of Digital Merchandising will lead the definition and development of an omni-channel merchandising strategy across multiple business units such as Beauty. As an extension of the front store team, this leader will define the digital business unit growth strategies that create multi-channel customer behavior, drive higher share of wallet and higher life time value.
The Director will work closely with the front store, marketing and digital teams to build a leading digital commerce experience. The Director of Omni-channel Merchandising is a critical role responsible for leading e-commerce and omni-channel growth including new convenience fulfillment options. Must be able to work effectively with all levels within the organization including marketing, merchandising, finance and operations. The position will manage direct reports.
Specific responsibilities include:
Lead strategy and implementation for key digital merchandising work streams that will drive breakthrough omni-channel performance Develop merchandising and promotion strategies across e-commerce and new multi-channel initiatives, Lead content strategy and execution for an elevated Beauty experience, Closely collaborate with category managers and vendors to drive category innovation and omni-channel business plans. Manage merchandising and shopping experience for multiple initiatives to achieve omni-channel growth objectives In close collaboration with marketing and content development teams, drive and co-lead, go-to-market planning to drive the business Partner with digital, analytics and optimization teams to synthesize complex web data, product performance and voice of customer data to form actionable insights to accelerate growth.
Required Qualifications
8+ years in a Retail or Digital environment or relevant retail case work.
Superior analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills with experience working with large data sets.
Exceptional relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate rationale and needed courses of action to engage diverse audiences.
Track record of successfully managing new business, development in a dynamic environment, Entrepreneurial, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a strong work ethic.
Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, be decisive under ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA with 2+ years of strategy consulting or related analytical experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, business, economics or similar quantitative fields.
