Position Summary:
Provide administrative assistance to the Category, Merchandising & Pricing (CMP) teams, Fresh and Center Store to support a selling organization culture with a consumer-centric focus. Assist in the work flow management of item setup with MDM team, vendor setup with Accounting, managing paperwork flow, filing, scheduling, running of reports, invoice matching, banner communication coordination as well as cost and deal maintenance. Responsible for delivery of completed tasks that reflect a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responsible for working collaboratively with MDM on item setups:
◦ For Fresh categories, assist in the item setup process by working collaboratively with Buyers
◦ For Center Store categories, act as liaison to complete item setup with MDM following submission from Category Analysts.
•Responsible for working collaboratively with Accounting on vendor setups.
•Update and maintain costs or item deals electronically:
◦ By item by Distribution Center (DC) for warehouse items, based on market pricing or vendor changes
◦ By item for DSD vendors
•Schedule and run reports
•DSS
•Control-D
•AR Billings
•Complete invoice matching and invoice adjustments.
•Assist in the response required for VOR retail questions.
•Assist in the following processes, note that some processes are Department specific based on which Department you are supporting:
◦ Execute Recall Process and act as the liaison between vendor and recall coordinator
◦ Facilitate the pre-sell process – Fresh Categories only
◦ Provide proper information to Replenishment COE on recommended forward buys – Fresh Categories only
◦ Responsibility for providing coverage for Buying and Negotiating in the absence of Buyer when asked by Category Manager and approved by Director – Fresh Categories only.
◦ Complete all ad data input, to include, but not be limited to – Pricing support specific for Center Store only:
•MSP Gridding
•Data Entry of all Retail Prices
•Ad Proofing
•Tracking of competitor retails
◦ Maintain accurate vendor contact information to ensure up to date contacts are on file at all times
◦ Maintain accurate and organized files for all CMP responsibilities.
◦ Scheduling of meetings and appointments
◦ Creation of merchandising notes and Hot Topics
•Prioritize multiple tasks based on CMP needs.
•Trans-file documents annually.
•Maintain a positive relationship with peers, retail associates and external vendors while providing assistance to resolve questions as they arise.
•Act in a manner that motivates peers and reflects an acceptance of change and growth.
•Contribute ideas to support a continuous improvement culture.
•Act as an informal resource for associates with less experience.
•Participate in special projects to support the CMP team as needed.
•Responsible for the development, talent planning and performance management of self.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
•High School Diploma
•Experience working in a professional or retail environment
•Working level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree
•Experience with the following computer programs: Microsoft Office, SEGA, DSS, LlamaSoft, WMS, PFT, Inforem, Tableau, Revionics, MSP
