Here’s your opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new in-house team for of one of the largest, most successful retailers in the US. The Digital Art Director will play a leadership role in a team of creative professionals working to evolve the story of one of the nation’s most popular brands. The primary focus of this position is to support the Design Director in the creative development and implementation of both digital and Omni-Channel projects. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain the look-and-feel of new and evolving brand style guides across both digital and Omni-Channel Projects
• Establish effective creative strategies in concert with internal Marketing stakeholders
• Direct and execute high-quality creative campaigns across digital channels, including web, email and social media that break through the marketplace clutter and position us as the store of choice in our categories
• Work effectively with external vendors and internal colleagues to complete projects within timeframe and budget
• Work closely with project managers to schedule projects and coordinate production
• Prepare and present creative work
• Review files and drive approval process
• Prioritize and manage multiple jobs at a time, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Manage and mentor team of designers, production artists and coders
• Recognize and leverage successful methods and technologies to support the creative process
Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in design or creative studies
• Experience in retail industry
• Proven examples of your creative in successful ad campaigns and projects
• Experience managing day-to-day changes at every level of detail
• Mastery of Adobe CS and other applications for digital and video production including all stages of the production cycles
• Knowledge of digital technologies relevant to advertising
• Ability to inspire and guide other designers in achieving top quality creative execution
• Strong brand translation and superior organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in a management role
• Experience in a world class creative agency and/or a start-up environment
• Photography/video art direction experience
• Experience in home design and decorating industry
