General Responsibilities
The Director, Fleet Procurement Analytics will work directly with the Sr. Director – Fleet Procurement to ensure procurement and analytical activities are aligned to the overall fleet plan and financial objectives. This role will be comprised of managing analysis on the existing Hertz fleet, potential fleet purchases, new/used car markets and other industry/internal metrics. This position will also be responsible for creation, implementation and maintenance of analytical/reporting tools as well as presenting recommendations to senior management. This manager will be responsible for all departmental databases, reporting and analytics that will be distributed throughout the organization. Training and development of talent will be a vital component of this role.

• Train and develop a growing team of analysts to support the department’s daily operations.
• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
• Oversee the Hertz Lifecycle Holding Cost model to evaluate potential new vehicle purchases.
• Ownership in tracking all economic variables contained in negotiations with OEM’s.
• Maintain contract approval compliance in accordance with SOX and internal/external audit processes. This includes C-Level approvals for fleet purchases.
• Manage and develop departmental reporting capabilities using a variety of Business Intelligence tools.
• Develop an understanding of Hertz fleet databases and analytical tools used in decision making. This includes ownership of specific databases ex., pre-owned vehicle tracking.
• Understand macro market conditions, automotive industry climate, and residual values.
• Prepare presentations for management’s review to aid in decision making.
• Monitor automotive industry data to provide insight into trends and develop/maintain reporting around key metrics.
• Manage ETA forecasting for all vehicles purchased by the department. Maintenance of OEM schedules as it pertains to fleet ordering will be managed under this position.
• Manage the fleet rotation, database, reporting and procurement for Hertz’s Busing operations.
Mandatory Requirements
Educational Background:
• Minimum 4-year college degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration with applicable work experience.
• MBA Preferred
Professional Experience:
• Minimum 2+ years experience managing a team of 3+ employees
• Minimum 2+ years relevant work experience in a business analyst/data analyst role preferably within banking, automotive or retail industries.
• Experience in the auto industry, rental car industry or fleet management is a plus but not required.
Knowledge:
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Access, SQL, and Oracle required.
• Proficiency in Tableau & Birst is a plus.
• Business Development and Project Management skills
• Automotive Industry preferred

• Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational and negotiating skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business, technical teams and external vendors.
