Requirements
Job Title: Director, Merchandise Planning
Do you love music and have a passion for providing leadership, direction and support at the merchandise division level to appropriately plan, distribute, and monitor inventory content by location, to assure maximization of sales, turnover, and profitability. This leader will have oversight over both Combo and B&O planning teams while having a direct hand in leading the Combo team. In addition, this individual will manage the open to buy process for the organization in accordance with leadership's direction as well as provide leadership and direction for the Order Processing Team.
Responsibilities:
Leads team in developing merchandise plans by business for sales, inventory and receipts.
• Manages Open to Buy process for the organization in line with leaderships direction and provides guidance to team
• Partners with the Director of Merchandising and Category Manager team on the financial planning and assortment planning process. Works with Merchandise organization to develop assortment plans that support overall strategy of in-stock positioning for key merchandise categories, classifications, items and vendors.
• Oversees strategies that take into account demographic needs and business opportunities to maximize business by location / channel based on sales and stock performance
• Leads strategies and tactics to hit team in stock goals
• Ensures identified assortments are developed/ maintained by store/channel to meet demographics of surrounding market.
• Ensures consistency among the assortments as it relates to the total store profile.
• Develops reporting and diagnostics to enable merchants to analyze their business and refine assortments to maximize sales, improve turn and margin.
• Ensures remodel stores and new stores are planned and supported to maximize business.
• Provides additional leadership as necessary for Rental business in the B&O business Unit
• Manage Order Processing team, consistently monitor order processing metrics and provide guidance and development to insure proper service levels as well as responsible management of inventory.
• Manage, coach and develop planning staff and order processing team.
• Fosters an environment that promotes personal development of replenishment analysts for their respective businesses.
• Additional duties as assigned.
To join our band you'll need the following experience:
• Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain and Planning or Business
• Valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.
• Ability to acquire work/travel documents (i.e., passport and visa) as required by various countries.
• 10 years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience) within Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting, or related fields
• 5 years of experience leading teams
