Position Description
As a Director of Cross-Category eCommerce Marketing, you will own marketing for Walmart’s cross-category eCommerce-led programs. Focusing on developing Walmart’s brand to win major online retail moments, the Director of Cross-Category eCommerce Marketing will lead a team that creates cohesive, compelling shopping experiences and high-performing media programming. This role also plays a critical role in defining the brand promotional strategy and key retail seasons. In this role, the Director, Cross-Category eCommerce Marketing will partner closely with product, finance, retail and supply chain teams to create meaningful, innovative experiences that go the distance for our customer.
Challenges you’ll be tackling
•Deliver the eCommerce marketing strategy for eCommerce only campaigns such as Game Time and Summer Seasonal programs, creating connected, new-to-market executions in partnership with Marketing, Analytics, Category, Experience/Product, Operations and Supply Chain.
•Act as the voice of customer and champion of all global acquisition and retention strategies related to achieving the Company’s omnichannel customer targets, ensuring we win digitally engaged, loyal shoppers who love our brand and continue to come back and shop with us outside of peak seasonal timeframes.
• Work shoulder to shoulder with senior leadership in Finance, Retail, Supply Chain, PR and creative functions to push the brand forward and while delivering revenue and performance goals.
• Develop and oversee a team of highly talented “mini-CMO’s” assigned to cross-category seasonal pushes who work with the retail and media partners to create connected strategies and deliver them to site and media touchpoints.
• Own a revenue plan and supporting cross-category media program across paid and unpaid channels, creating strategic media plans that connect to global strategies and business objectives needed to fuel the company’s rapid growth trajectory in the eCommerce space
•Drive a learning agenda to arrive at a deeper understanding of consumer habits for the enterprise through 1st and 3rd party data and research, to effectively and efficiently acquire and retain customers and grow LTV.

Oversees and directs the development and implementation of large-scale marketing initiatives (for example, on-site merchandising, advertising, store integration)
Oversees the development and management of key supplier partnerships on new and existing marketing initiatives
Provides overall direction
Sets and oversees marketing budgets
Minimum Qualifications
•10+ years in eCommerce and/or direct response/digital marketing for a Consumer brand or service
Heavy experience owning senior, cross-functional relationships and designing innovative marketing plans from the ground up.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Data oriented marketer with experience creating driver-based customer models in Excel and managing multiple, at times moving business targets such as sales, revenue, retention and inventory positions
Proven ability to structure and evaluate performance data to understand and analyze performance, optimize plans, drive decisions, and measure impact to the business.
•Good creative partnership and collaboration skills.
•Experience partnering on concept development, message testing and digital experience builds. Ability to partner well with senior creative director and site leadership on experience platforms and unifying concepts to orient and organize our brand presence
Creative and collaborative team player who can create a positive, results-oriented work environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholder groups, influencing decisions, and delivering results quickly that facilitate innovation and learning.
Digital marketing and campaign design and development experience, including delivering compelling creative briefs with a compelling value prop, outbound messaging approach and defining a strategic media mix.
3 years of supervisory experience.
•Working knowledge of P&L and Supply Chain fundamentals
Passion for the Walmart customer and our brand
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field and 6 years of experience in marketing
