Pep Boys is seeking an experienced online merchant to join our team as Director, Digital Merchandising, Pricing & Promotion. This key role is responsible for working on cross functional teams, managing vendor & internal relationships and developing & executing business plans for their segment of business. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in digital merchandising, promotional planning or retail category management, a forward-thinking mentality, strong analytical skillset and technical savvy.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the overall growth of online sales.
• Develop and execute national, regional and customer specific promotional strategies.
• Collaborate with the pricing department on competitive pricing tracking and analysis.
• Create expanded assortment strategies with direct to consumer partners.
• Develop and execute a strategic business plan including: brand rationale, pricing philosophy, gross margin optimization, and ROI.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships.
• Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends through detailed analysis.
• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Online Operations, Inventory Management, Logistics and Merchandising on on-going projects.
• Collaborate with Catalog and Online Operations on product-related changes, site navigation and display tactics.
• Track site-wide metrics, user experience, online promotions and effectiveness; understanding of Omniture metrics and analytics preferred.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing is preferred
• 8 years of experience in online merchandising
• Strong analytics and financial acumen
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office
• Automotive related experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Effective time and project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
