Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Sr. Manager (IB Director), Category Experience works closely with the Marketing and Merchandising teams to understand their respective strategies and objectives in order to improve online category conversion. This position is responsible for all aspects of B2B product content and web taxonomy. KPIs include customer satisfaction, increased conversion and average order value, and exceeding online revenue goals.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• 25%- Manage / mentor a top-performing team
• 25%- Optimize the digital category experience through B2B specific product data attributes, product recommendations, rich product content and guides, as well as product information relevant to key B2B segments.
• 20%- Maintain and optimize digital taxonomy, leveraging customer analytics, competitive benchmarking, and onsite product search
• analysis
• 20%- Manage B2B product content ensuring that correct attributes and UOM are collected through IDM
• 10%- Continuously improve on-site search relevancy through search optimization and working collaboratively with the search product teams
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Director of ecommerce.
This position has 6-7 direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
ENVIRONMENT:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
TRAVEL:
Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:6 years
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven results in any (but, including most) of the following areas: CI, CRM, customer experience, product content optimization, product management, financial analysis.
• Proven results in on-line merchandising or marketing, product content optimization,
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrated success growing on-line category sales improving category conversion.
• Ability to grow Average Order Value (AVO) through product recommendations, both dynamic and manually curated.
• MBA
• 6 years management experience in an on-line business
• Demonstrated success at growing an ecommerce or multi-channel retail business through business and technical innovation, ideally with experience in both strategy development and operational execution.
• Strong numeric and advanced analytics aptitude
• Basic technical aptitude with web-based tools and advanced proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop and lead high performing teams
