Description
As Director, Client Management with Diebold Nixdorf, you will be responsible for managing the overall client relationship, the development and expansion of business within your customer set, and the sale of Diebold Nixdorf products and services for a subset of Diebold Nixdorf’s strategic accounts. This position may manage direct sales associates to ensure business objectives are met in a profitable manner. The position is also responsible for a number of matrixed roles.
Some essential functions of this position include:
•Accurately forecast and achieve orders (Product, Services, and Software), Revenue, Cash (AR), and Client satisfaction goals.
•Serve as the ultimate account leader – internally and externally
•Develop, build, and maintain rapport and favorable relations with our customers. Ensure customers are knowledgeable of Diebold Nixdorf's sales and service policies.
•Integrate account plans from all team members into a cohesive strategic plan.
•Communicate the corporate vision and the corporate goals to all associates assigned to the team.
•Achieve assigned business corporate goals.
•Select, manage and develop associates; includes the training, motivating, disciplining and rewarding of associates.
•Ensure that effective account plans are implemented and are consistent with existing market plan.
•Monitor the activity of sales associates and provide advice and counsel when and where necessary.
•Support and ensure compliance with the Order Entry Process.
•Develop sales and marketing plans. Plan strategy to accomplish agreed upon sales goals and objectives and communicate plans to effected sales, service, and marketing organizations.
•Develop expense budgets. Follow-up to ensure expenses do not exceed approved budgets.
•Organize and assign associates to maximize account penetration and eliminate duplication of effort.
•Advise Vice President and Marketing Team of competitive developments, new marketing opportunities, and new hardware and software applications.
•Interact and influence C-level executives.
Qualifications
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• MBA is preferred, but not required
• Minimum 10 years outside sales business development and / or sales management experience, preferably in a retail vertical and/or in retail banking.
• Possess a high level of leadership, communication, presentation, critical thinking and strategic planning skills
• Ability to build relationships at higher levels of the customer organization
• Individual should have exhibited skills, characteristics, traits, and work habits that would greatly enhance the likelihood of success as a sales leader.
• Must be PC proficient with working knowledge of various spreadsheet and presentation programs.
• Proven track record of successful relationship building internal and external, business partnering with accounts and multi - resource team selling
• Highly motivated and possess a successful track record of exceeding quota assignment in sales role
• General knowledge and understanding of the Diebold Nixdorf (or comparable) product and service offerings, including enterprise wide solutions and integrated services applications
• Must have strong business problem solving skills
• Ability to travel overnight approximately 50% + of the time
