About us:
Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America’s leading retailers.
Right on pace with Target’s distinctive retail brand, Target Finance and Accounting are transforming for the better. As so much more than a behind-the-scenes number-cruncher, you will be a truly collaborative partner with a seat at the table. You’ll bring your unique point of view, experience and passion for the work to your team and internal clients. In Finance, you’ll be an integral voice in discussions that lead to Target’s unparalleled shopping experience. Your analysis and recommendations will be directly applied to critical business decisions, from sales to merchandising and beyond. Within Finance, you’ll enjoy the interesting challenges of the competitive retail space, and you’ll have a 360-degree impact—rather than on just one part of the business. You’ll see your contributions come to life in virtually every area of this dynamic enterprise. And you’ll grow and be challenged in your career while having a healthy balance with life outside of work.
A role on the Investor Relations team is an opportunity to influence Target’s reputation in the financial community. You’ll develop a deep understanding of Target’s business from an enterprise view as you discuss Target’s strategy and performance with analysts and investors, both on the phone and on the road. You’ll get broad exposure to the highest levels of the management team, across Finance and other externally-facing teams.
As a Director, Investor Relations, you’ll have a high-visibility role on a small and influential team. You’ll play a key role in the delivery of Target’s recurring financial communications, including quarterly earnings releases and conference calls, SEC filings, and other ad hoc financial communications. You’ll serve as a critical partner to other externally-facing teams, including Public Relations, External Financial Reporting, Government Affairs and Corporate Responsibility. You’ll also be the primary point of contact between Investor Relations and the broader Finance team to ensure that our external financial communications are fully informed by internal analyses of business performance. You’ll also play a key role in the planning and delivery of Target’s annual Financial Community and Shareholders’ meetings. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
