RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supporting Contract territory sales teams to win and execute complex Contract projects
• Overseeing all operations and service including: product sourcing, project planning, opportunity generation, quoting, payment, order placement, logistics management and after-sale support for Contract projects
• Maintaining the pulse of the business on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, identifying risk and leverage resources as needed to meet deliverables
• Leading weekly customer project status review meetings for the business
• Addressing and resolving escalated issues in a timely and thorough manner; providing sufficient resolution such that issues are addressed without the need for further escalation within the organization
• Motivating, coaching and leading the Operations Team to provide exceptional support to the Contract sales team
• Building Operations Team capabilities and bench strength
• Monitoring status and performance of the Operations Team and addressing problem areas and deficiencies as required; leading corrective actions on an as needed basis based on performance
• Developing strong, collaborative working relationships with key customers, all critical vendor partners and key internal RH partners
• Partnering with the Senior Director, Sales, Contract to develop an accurate sales forecast update each month for our monthly forecasting calls
• Owning a book of business within each territory to stay close to the internal and external customer as well as provide support for their team
• Ensuring that operational data is accurate within our systems (SF, Galaxy, CW)
• Leading or participating in business process improvement projects to constantly keep building new Contract capabilities and simplify our processes
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree and/or 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Proven team leadership experience (minimum 5 years of experience)
• Significant Contract industry operational leadership experience (Residential Development, Hospitality, Commercial)
• Proven experience working with factories on complex Contract projects (reading factory drawings, product customization, price negotiation, sampling)
• Knowledge of International logistics formalities, import/export procedures, including customs and tax policies/processes
• Understand freight forwarder, carrier, air, sea and road logistics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals where English is not their first language
• Intensely customer-focused
• Experience working with tight deadlines and the need to constantly multi-task and prioritize
• Able to maintain and build effective relationships with cross-functional teams
• Highly-motivated self-starter with the ability to quickly change gears based on business needs
• Performs consistently in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of communications
• Comfortable and accomplished conducting meetings with individuals and groups
• Adept at quickly identifying, interpreting and solving problems. Expertise in making quick, accurate and appropriate decisions and using experiences to affect positive change
