POSITION SUMMARY
Summary:This position is responsible for driving the business forward by leveraging industry knowledge and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with the Merchandise and Product Development Team to develop and negotiate the best contracts with new and current vendors.
• Develop performance standards that build a strong relationship with vendors to uphold our quality and performance standards.
• Conduct detailed analysis of customer and competitive data.
• Research and source new products that promote fresh ideas within established processes.
• Prepare the presentation materials for line previews and buy meetings to help ensure customer buys appropriate assortment.
• Assess project and resource requirements.
• Determine quality control standards.
• Ensure accurate development, production and costing by creating and maintaining data and files for production matters.
• Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree or ten plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong project management skills, organized and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills and work well with all levels.
• High sense of urgency and ability to manage demanding timeliness and problem solving.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to see overall project picture at any point in time.
• Self- directed and accustomed to a fast paced environment.
• Understanding of the business aspect of a project, technical requirements and implications.
• Strong public speaker and presenter.
• Leadership skills taking ownership and accountability for all projects.
