The Director of CRM and Integrated Marketing will be a critical center point for Bed Bath & Beyond’s transformation into a customer-centered, multi-channel marketing organization and the individual will play a key role in leading the transformation.
The Director of CRM and Integrated Marketing will oversee a team of individuals focused on defining, designing and executing multi-channel marketing programs to support key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Insight Development - Partner with Analytics team, other business groups, and third parties to identifies marketplace and customer insights
• Strategy – Use insights to develop sound, fact-based marketing strategies to drive incremental ROI against business objectives
• Planning – Partner with channel managers to develop omni-channel communication programs and measurement/testing plans stemming from the strategy
• Execution/Capability Development – Ensure sound development of the omni-channel program and any required supporting capabilities
• Measurement and Optimization – quantify the business impact of the programs developed and continue to enhance performance over time
• Own, develop and coordinate the business Marketing efforts.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree required - MBA in Marketing, Finance or Statistics preferred
• 7-10 years experience in a database marketing, direct marketing or CRM position for a company in an industry with an established reputation for direct marketing excellence (e.g. Retail, financial services, hospitality, telecom, publishing, marketing, etc.)
• Experience in Marketing strategy consulting a plus.
• 5+ years supervisory experience is required
Characteristics:
• CRM/Loyalty program development including detailing functional requirements, developing features/rewards, creating communication strategies, and evaluating program ROI performance.
• Experience in multiple communication channels including direct mail, e-mail, social media, search engine marketing and website development.
• Must be a proven cross functional team leader and project manager who can interface with all levels including Senior Management.
• Experience in Direct Marketing test design and analysis.
• Must be technically proficient and knowledgeable in architecture that gathers customer information and feeds database solutions that drives and supports CRM strategies.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of response management & tracking
• Have strong thought leadership skills coupled with excellent collaborative and influencing traits. Ability to act as a change agent within the organization.
• Ability to recognize critical business needs and determine an appropriate course of action while remaining focused on strategic intent.
• Must have in-depth knowledge and skill in business and management principles involved in strategy and organizational planning, and leadership techniques.
• Must be able to motivate, develop, and direct staff and teams as they work.
• Experience managing external vendors.
• Must have the ability to lead, organize, motivate and manage employees.
• Superior analytical skills; both quantitative and qualitative
• Prior experience developing or working with a customer database preferred
