General Responsibilities
The Director, Vendor Management is responsible for maintaining transparency of information critical to daily decisions to the organization and for collaborating with all necessary parties within the Division and Regions. The incumbent will ensure tactical decisions to meet the strategic objectives and goals of the Company. The incumbent will make business presentations to Senior Leadership to support existing and growth potential.
• Directs the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, performance programs, contracts and tools to manage service quality for vendors engaged in all aspects of Car Rental Operations related work.
• Delivers consistent communication of standards, policies and procedures to vendors to enable regulations compliance. Directs and defines quality audit team responsible for auditing vendor performance across multiple lines of service to ensure quality operations, regulatory compliance and adherence to service level agreements.
• Facilitates vendor performance through station leadership, defining the methodology and applying program elements developed. Leads and directs planning, project oversight and implementation of airport transformations.
• Develop vendor performance management tools and vendor training protocol.
• Review and evaluate service performance to identify opportunities and process change actions for improvements.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Must have people management experience.
Mandatory Requirements
The key result areas are:
• Manage projects to ensure targets and deadlines are achieved
• Gather information from subject matter experts and Unit Leaders as needed to assist management in meeting goals and objectives
• Consolidate information and conduct analysis as needed
• Develop reporting model and develop presentations
• Collect data from all Hertz systems and conduct trend analyses, Both Quantitative and Qualitative
• Collaborate with all levels of management on recommendations
• Communicate findings with backup as needed
• Support field management with interactions across all functions
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree or extensive operational experience
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree Preferred
Professional Experience:
High level operations and project management experience
Proven knowledge of competitive sourcing third party supply/vendor management including contract negotiations and service standard
Proven track record of success
