Position Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President, Americas Supply Chain Manufacturing, this position has multi-state and country strategic and operational responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain activities.
Manufacturing responsibilities include production management, material/inventory control, short term planning & scheduling execution, capital management, strategic supply chain execution, and leadership development. Supply Chain responsibilities include end to end execution focused on Safety, Quality, Service, Cash and Cost for multiple sites and locations within the region. this positions is responsible for driving sustainable continuous improvement using the Journey to Excellence platform to deliver three year strategic plans for multiple sites.
This role will work with the respective sites in the Americas region to review goals and metrics to ensure achievement of KPI targets. The position will work closely with commercial teams on change projects, launches and service improvement, and is a member of the extended leadership team for the Consumer business. The position is responsible for Supply Chain talent development and succession planning. Leadership for the implementation of best practices, cost reduction, and business simplification initiatives is a major focus for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops and executes strategic direction for assigned sites based on overall Americas Supply Chain and business plans.
• Creates and ensures performance of Supply Chain goals consistent with business and overall McCormick objectives.
• Performs a leadership role in the development of long-term Capital plans that are consistent with business plans.
• Provides leadership for the company’s Journey to Excellence (JTE) utilizing Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and High-Performance Organization (HPO) processes to deliver results.
• Develops self and direct report staff to ensure diverse thought, to enable the best solutions and ideas
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Minimum of 15 years in manufacturing/Supply Chain environment.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior level Operations role
• Strong cross-functional strategic leadership experience, communication and knowledge of emerging operations and manufacturing practices
• Strong problem solving and proven analytical skills to successful work across multiple disciplines of the business to solve complex problems and efficiently address issues
• Knowledge and work experience in TPM
