Position Summary
The IT Finance Director is responsible for overall Financial Planning & Analysis Management of the CVS Health Information Technology Organization which includes PBM, Retail and Shared Services functions. Duties include the support of selected members of the Chief Information Officer’s leadership team as well as the management of relationships with key internal stakeholders, including, but not limited to, Corporate Finance, the PBM and Retail segment Controllers, Human Resources, Treasury and Internal Audit.
You will implement the goals, objectives, and policies of the IT FP & A group, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of IT segments (PBM and Retail/Shared Services) financial reporting subject to the company’s financial close and forecast timelines including monthly accruals, forecast submissions, variance analysis and reporting of risks and opportunities.
Other key areas of responsibilities will be to coordinate the development of the PBM and Retail/SS IT budget and annual planning process, develop and implement project based financial plans for the IT organization and interface with Senior IT and Finance leadership to support their key initiatives from a business and financial perspective.
Additional responsibilities include:
-Oversee the development and implementation of project-based financial reporting for the IT portfolio (Labor budget and Hours)
-Coordinate segment level financial management and performance as a component of the IT enterprise consolidation and reporting functions and partner with Corporate Finance to maintain segment financial budget alignment
-Coordinate the monthly close process, includes financial reporting for current month actual (daily updates throughout the close) and forecast, variance explanations and shared preparation of the monthly financial reporting package
-Manage the development and maintenance of reporting and analytical support to the Enterprise wide IT organization
-Coordinate and supply financial analyses related to IT cost savings and optimization initiatives
-Proactively provide financial and business optimization recommendations
-Participate and provide financial support during vendor negotiations, as required
-Mentor and develop members of your FP&A team to broaden skill sets and capabilities to enable professional growth
-Ensure accounting controls as it relates to Financial Control, Internal Accounting Practices and Procedures and internal/external GAAP requirements
-Develop and maintain interaction with Internal IT Audit
Required Qualifications
-Minimum 10 years’ experience Financial Planning & Analysis in leadership role
-Experience and interaction with senior management within the Corporate Finance areas
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience supporting an IT Finance function within a Retail or Healthcare company
-Good understanding of an IT organization as it relates to the financial impact to the company
-Ability to work under stress and to successfully handle such situations efficiently and effectively
-Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities on a simultaneous basis
-Ability to assess and mitigate risk from a company, project, business, and financial perspective
Education
-Bachelor’s Degree required.
-MBA in Finance preferred.
