As a Director in the Transportation Command Center, you will be responsible for developing the strategy and leading a team that delivers service strategies which support all Last Mile initiatives and carrier performance. You will be accountable for the strategic vision, ensuring the effective implementation of new store Last Mile capabilities and providing a differentiated guest service support for delivery options like Same Day delivery, Restock and Ship from Store in defined markets and ensure seamless go live. The convenience options will build loyalty from the Target guest, while building a scalable model that will ensure the guest receives their product in the time defined by the guest.
You will design and create a service plan to support the launch of various program and oversee the transition to run state while managing relationships with stores, carriers, and guests. Your organization be will own the real-time monitoring, dispatch, guest service and performance metrics. You are an inspirational leader who has the proven ability to build successful organizations, hire the best talent, and led effectively through change. You have excellent communication skills and a proven track record in operational leadership and logistics. You will be responsible for developing the resource strategy and staffing model, while managing expense responsibilities and delivering superior client satisfaction. You are able to able to develop and communicate a strategic vision, solve problems, collaborate across business functions, and build a highly engaged team that delivers exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
About you:
• MS/MA in operations, customer service, retail and supply chain
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience with large team management is service support areas
• 3-5 years of experience in retail, ecommerce, supply chain, carrier management and service center
• Has worked in supply chain space including first, middle and last mile minimum of 3 years +
• Track record of driving step jump improvements
