As the leader of the Email and Mobile Marketing team, this position is responsible for the testing, development and implementation of marketing strategies that maximize customer engagement and revenue. Within the Email and Mobile channels, this position will develop and implement a strategic roadmap while establishing operational excellence for Bed Bath & Beyond, Harmon, CTS/aT! and Buy Buy Baby.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain and implement a strategic roadmap for the future of each channel, ensuring we remain at the front of technology while also supporting all key corporate initiatives. Stay abreast of competition and developments within the industry to inform the roadmap and overall business.
• Develop and execute a testing agenda to optimize Email and Mobile channels for maximum performance, leveraging iterative testing and data analysis. Develop and test customer programs to drive business growth including personalization, segmentation testing, and new trigger programs.
• Understand email system configuration, Vendor contributions, and complete data flow. Develop testing recommendations based on system capabilities and provide recommendations to improve Vendor/platform performance.
• Work collaboratively within Marketing and with Ecomm and Merchandising teams to drive the successful development and execution of Email, Mobile and Digital marketing.
• Establish processes and teams (internal and external) to drive the flawless execution of each marketing channel.
• Continue to efficiently grow our available customer base. Develop and execute email and mobile acquisition plan. Develop key performance indicators and reporting to measure acquisition and productivity by source. Monitor list health to measure progress against growth initiatives and monitor to identify issues.
• Prepare, maintain, and deliver on annual/monthly budget.
• Provide strong leadership and develop a high-performing team focused on success.
Requirements:
Bed Bath and Beyond, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, pro-active, resourceful and results-oriented individual with a high level of enthusiasm and passion for retail marketing. The successful candidate will bring the following proficiencies and capabilities:
• Bachelor’s degree with Marketing focus, M.B.A. preferred
• Minimum of ten years email Marketing experience within a retail or like high-volume setting
• Deep knowledge and thorough understanding of email and mobile marketing best practices, particularly in an omni-channel company
• Deep knowledge and thorough understanding of email and mobile marketing industry, providers and emerging trends
• Proven ability to translate analytic data into strategic insights that drive successful marketing programs
• Enterprise-level email strategy experience; must have experience developing and managing strategic email and marketing testing plans
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade others with diplomacy and tact; work with numerous partners of differing levels, flexing interaction style as required
• Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Respond with agility to changing priorities while maintaining flawless execution
• Strong retail business acumen and analytical skills
