Position Summary
The Director, Audiology Strategy and Execution, will be a key member of a cross-functional team that is delivering an exciting new health services offering to CVS retail stores. This cross-functional team will work together very closely to address all aspects of strategy, operations and execution to ensure successful pilot expansion in 2018 and scale up in 2019 and beyond. This is a high priority initiative for CVS’s retail business and the business planning, pilot, and results will be overseen by the most senior leaders of our Retail and Health Services businesses. This role will have responsibility for building and executing both short and long term growth strategies for this highly visible health service and delivering financial results.
The position will report to the Senior Director who serves as Audiology Business Owner, and is expected to provide excellent exposure to management across CVS’s businesses as well as ongoing professional development opportunities. This role will lead the expansion of a new health service in alignment with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to drive patient visits, patient engagement, sales, patient loyalty, and synergies with our other health services offerings. This role would suit someone with a strong background in developing new products and marketing strategies in consumer health, experience building high-performing cross-functional teams, experience aligning disparate teams and their leadership across large organizations, anentrepreneurial mindset and a passion for delivering results.
Responsibilities:
•Build a deep understanding of the hearing care market and CVS’ goals with a focus on long term growth
•Lead the identification, development, and delivery of new products and services
•Own relationships with suppliers and external and internal partners to define and deliver strategic growth plans
•Develop and maintain a strategic review process to ensure the business is properly resourced to meet near term goals as well as long term growth and competitiveness
•Work collaboratively with business and support teams across the organization to represent the voice of hearing care and health services to ensure Enterprise alignment and identification of synergies
•Partner closely with counterparts on the vision care and Home Health Care teams to streamline efforts and create consistency across health services
•Craft materials for management
and executive committees up to an including the Board of Directors
Required Qualifications
•8+ years of strategy, consulting, consumer, retail, or product experience
Preferred Qualifications
•5+ years of experience in a strategic function within a healthcare organization, retailer, or consulting firm
•Strong financial acumen: comfort with numbers, analyses, and a solid understanding of retail P&L
•Comprehensive understanding of concepts, theories, and principles within healthcare
•Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects through organized, detail-oriented, and structured thinking and execution
•Collaborating with others to make timely, well informed decisions; respectfully pushes boundaries and creates tensions to produce Enterprise results
•Demonstrating self-motivation, entrepreneurialism, and high-energy and successfully functioning in a high-demand, performance-driven environment with exposure to senior leadership
•Developing new products and/or services with demonstrated results
•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a concise, logical, and consistent manner to influence internal and external partners
Education
Bachelor's degree required; MBA, AuD, PharmD, or other advanced degree strongly preferred
