Job Description
Summary
The Director of PBE Channel Sales will lead and manage automotive paint, body and equipment (PBE) division. This role requires an "expert" in the PBE field and familiar with vendors, jobbers, carriers and MSOs. The Sales Director's core duties include maximizing revenue, building relationships, understanding customer needs and staying current on industry trends so that our marketing strategies remain relevant. The Director's responsibilities include; developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, action plans. The Director of PBE Channel Sales will report to the President of Commercial Sales.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for the overall growth of the PBE division
• Lead negotiations with vendors and customers
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Marketing to provide industry insight to align our market strategy with needs of the industry
• Work with internal customers to build synergies and provide support and guidance
• Grow market presence and establish a large national footprint
• Develop supplier metrics based on quality, cost, delivery and innovation.
• Manage, mentor and drive both inside and field sales
• Drive the sales process from plan to close
• Educate internal and external customers on the specific benefits of our products and services
• Responsible to work with all teams to sell and work with Fleet company programs from a collision standpoint
• Work with the service department adding PDR and touch up sales.
• Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent Excel, Word, Power Point skills, as well as the ability to quickly master internal reporting systems, inventory systems, POS systems, and other systems related to essential job duties as needed
• Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Previous experience as a director of sales, sales executive or sales manager
• Excellent interpersonal skills in fast paced environment, including the ability to maintain a calm, friendly and respectable demeanor
• Comfort and competency in oral and written presentations
• Leadership including clear and respectful communication with Team Members including; mentoring, teaching, training, regular performance assessments, and as needed, enforcement of accountability
• Ability to work under strict deadlines including assisting communication and enforcement of deadlines both with internal and external business partners
• Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and corporate-level
• Confidentiality and integrity
• Excellent organizational skills resulting in efficiency, productivity and positive outcomes and results
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
• Strong teamwork skills are a must
Experience and Credentials
• 8+ years of experience, of which 3+ years of experience in a top tier-retailer / wholesaler
• Experience working on: growth strategies, pricing analyses, vendor programs, marketing programs
