Position Description
Walmart’s International Supply Chain team is hiring a Senior Director II to support multiple distribution centers in the International markets. This is a unique opportunity for an omni-channel supply chain leader who has a passion for continuous improvement in fulfillment and distribution and willing to partner with and travel to our international markets.This leader will be able to make an impact on a large scale, lead through influence and shape the distribution network for the future.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Creates innovation strategies to achieve and influence senior executive vision
• Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics
• Develops and champions transformational and innovative change for multiple integrated strategies across the business
• Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
• Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
• Develops organizational talent
• Drives major change initiatives to completion
• Leads team
• Manages a portion of the department budget and profit and loss (P&L) statement
• Provides overall direction
Minimum Qualifications
5 years supervisory experience.
Bachelor's in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Transportation or related field AND 7 years experience in engineering, logistics, mathematics, computer science, supply chain, transportation or related field OR 9 years experience in engineering, logistics, mathematics, computer science, supply chain, transportation or related field OR Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Transportation or related field AND 5 years experience in engineering, logistics, mathematics, computer science, supply chain, transportation or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
10 years experience developing operations strategy and overseeing project implementations.
10 years experience leading cross-functional teams.
5 years experience working on international projects.
7 years experience conducting resource planning.
Business proficiency in a second language (for example, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish).
