Description
Directs the multi-shift operations of the Distribution Center in accordance with company policies and procedures
1. Responsible for the interviewing, hiring and supervision of General Managers and various other DC Operations management. Provides ongoing training and development of all Operations associates within the Distribution facility, sets performance goals and provides evaluative feedback to all direct reports.
2. Directs and oversees the planning and forecasting of production requirements to meet or exceed the financial plan.
3. Prepares and conducts performance appraisals for direct reports. Serves on the review committee during the performance appraisal process for all DC Operations management.
4. Administers budgetary compliance by ensuring variable and fixed operating expenses are within budgetary guidelines.
5. Initiates, conducts and seeks appropriate approvals involving disciplinary action up to and including terminations of all D&TS associates within assigned area.
6. Ensures compliance with key company standards of safety, facility maintenance and postings/notifications.
7. Manages communication for the Distribution facility between Executive Management, other Distribution Centers, D&TS support groups and various corporate departments to guarantee coordination of effort.
8. Takes proactive role in establishing and carrying out shrinkage control disciplines and programs and accepts high level of responsibility for distribution center's shrinkage performance.
9. Prepares and analyzes various reports to ensure proper management of the Distribution facility.
10. Performs all managerial responsibilities and execution of Human Resources policies, wage administration, hiring, performance reviews, progressive counselings and terminations.
11. Uses discretion and independent judgment while maintaining the integrity of our Mission, Vision and Values statement in making all business decisions.
Qualifications
1. Seven to ten years inbound and outbound managerial experience within a Distribution Center required.
2. Thorough knowledge of supply chain management required.
3. Demonstrated leadership ability required.
4. Previous Warehouse Management System (WMS) and PC knowledge and ability required.
5. Previous senior management level experience required.
6. Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace including walking, bending and lifting withinn a Distribution Center environment required.
