As VP of Corporate BP&A, you will partner with QVC’s Head of International to lead the development and delivery of integrated business and financial planning and analysis support – for the Global Enterprise, Markets and Global Functions. In this key leadership role, you will establish integrated business and financial planning processes, tools, metrics, and reporting and identify opportunities to build the business and drive value creation via leveraging unique access to Enterprise wide financial, business, and operating metrics. You will also provide analysis support for Strategy, Portfolio and Insights to drive an integrated vision and financial plan and provide Financial Analysis support for new business development projects. The VP opportunity is located at QVC’s Corporate HQ in West Chester, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. Occasional domestic and global travel is required.
Job Description Details
Specific accountabilities:
• Create integrated business and financial plans that accurately reflect financial and business status that enable Enterprise, Function and Market level business decisions.
• Build and manage Business Planning Calendar.
• Creation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Budgets, Forecasts and Actuals analysis. Drive global alignment on metrics and reporting that accurately and consistently gauge success across markets and functions.
• Identify Risk and Opportunities; provide “What If” scenarios.
• Provide Strategic partnership and actionable business insights to Global Functional leaders in Commerce and Ops Strategic partnership in identifying value driving opportunities. (What if, Benchmark, Trends).
• Develop financial goals/guidance.
• Consolidation and Analysis of Enterprise-wide financial and operating metrics and portfolio project financial support.
• Business Planning Systems and capability via integrated Roadmap for Planning tool, input/reporting templates, aligned standard reporting/forecast package.
• Analysis and partnership with Head of International on benchmarking, best in class analysis, tools and reporting identification and implementation and coordinating COE.
• BP&A support for new market assessment, new business development, etc.
Requirements:
EDUCATION: BS in Finance, Business, Accounting, Merchandising or a related field. MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 12-15 years of managerial experience leading a team in financial analysis, merchandising/merchandise financial planning, reporting and analysis, consolidations or related experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Demonstrated strong business, financial and strategic acumen.
• Retail experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to influence decision-making.
• Ability to lead, manage and develop a team to conduct and deliver analytics, actionable insights and decision support.
• Strong financial statement expertise, including Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
• Strong prioritization skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex information into easily digestible material.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build global relationships across the org.
• Executive level experience in a global and highly-matrixed organization.
