This position will be responsible for implementing and supporting ops tools and systems in the field. This includes food, labor, reporting, and other Ops projects. It will report to the VP, Management Systems in the Ops Services department.
Accountabilities:
• Lead a team that directly supports operations in food management, labor management, and related reporting, ensuring prompt support and follow-up with operators questions or concerns.
• Provide direction and leadership to food management and labor management innovation project managers, ensuring the Panera innovation model is followed and testing processes, projects stay on schedule, and the desired outcome is accomplished.
• Implement changes to tools and systems that align with processes that support gold standard operations and result in achievement of key metrics.
• Develop, implement, and ensure availability of reporting that supports gold standard operations and metrics that matter.
• Ensure the flawless implementation of food cost and labor systems at the enterprise level. Ensure ops has working tools and systems to manage the business to gold standard.
• Lead cross-functional working groups on projects that support Paneras KIs and gold standard, ensuring measures of success are delivered on time.
• Be the subject matter expert and ops voice within project teams and ensure the appropriate team members are engaged so project teams see a project from all sides (e.g., walk all the way around the glass).
• Demonstrate a commitment to people development that strengthens the teams capabilities and readiness to take on greater responsibility.
• Deliver on ad hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Education Level: Four-year college education
• Job Related/Industry Experience: 8+ years
• Food / Labor systems and reporting: 3+ years
• A strong record of people management and people development with multiple reports; can work independently in managing a team.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, facilitation/presentation skills), with capability to manage up and across the organization (in and out of the department).
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage both urgent issues and multi-year projects effectively, exceptional project management capability. .
• Has the ability to think both strategically from a generalist perspective on projects, initiatives, and issues.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
