Position Summary
The Director, Payer Relations Specialty will strategically influence the future success of the company. The Director’s strategic input across the specialty and retail enterprise will impact both CVS Health’s reputation and business in the payer community.
This position will manage assigned relationships, identify, monitor, analyze and interpret client performance,identify strategic growth opportunities, provide recommendations and negotiate contracts with payer partners. They will also assist and participate in the review of acquisitions.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
1. Demonstrated ability to negotiate financial and contract terms
2. Ability to form and articulate persuasive arguments based on analysis
3. Strong project management skills
4. Proven ability to partner and work across boundaries in order to achieve results
5. The ability to structure useful guidance around complex strategy decisions to influence and guide the decisions made by others
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience within Pharmacy Benefit Management or Retail Pharmacy Industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts and associated financial frameworks.
- Prior project management experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty Pharmacy Industry experience strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related professional work experience in combination with years education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
