Position Description
• Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics
• Develops and builds long-term partnerships with executives across the global Logistics network and external suppliers
• Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
• Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
• Leads special projects (for example, Walmart Fuel Surcharge program, sustainability initiatives) across all modes of transportation
• Oversees external vendor relationships and Walmart business portfolios
• Oversees the management of third-party transportation contracts
• Oversees the purchasing and administrative management of third-party carrier transportation for U.S. and global inbound and outbound transportation
• Represents the Logistics Department in industry associations (for example, American Transportation Association (ATA), World Economic Forum (WEF), Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA)) and committees (for example, Retail Industry Leaders Association Transportation and Infrastructure Committee)
