Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day. Delek US Holdings owns 100 percent of the general partner and 81.6 percent of the limited partner interest in Alon USA Partners, LP (NYSE: ALDW), which owns a crude oil refinery in Big Spring, Texas, with a crude oil throughput capacity of 73,000 barrels per day and an integrated wholesale marketing business.
The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek US Holdings, Inc. and its affiliates also own approximately 63 percent (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE: DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.
The asphalt operations consist of owned or operated asphalt terminals serving markets from Tennessee to the west coast through a combination of non-blended asphalt purchased from third parties and produced at the Big Spring, Texas and El Dorado, Arkansas refineries. The renewables operations will consist of plants in Texas and Arkansas that produce biodiesel fuel and a renewable diesel facility in California.
The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores which also market motor fuels in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Job Summary:
This position offers a wide range of daily responsibilities and a dynamic workload. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of claims management, including third party claims administrator (TPA) management, return-to-work program management and supporting loss prevention efforts with claims data.
Description & Responsibilities:
• Manage TPA services for the entirety of Delek US Holdings and its companies.
• Direct TPA audit process and guidelines including managing annual contract negotiations.
• Manage the claims reporting process and practice for work comp, general liability, auto liability.
• Conduct the claims process inclusive of subrogation.
• Manage SOX process and ensure adherence to SOX compliance.
• Manage TPA database and develop claims reports, alerts and dashboards.
• Instruct TPA on settlement of claims up to designed authority level.
• Administer TPA to ensure expeditious adjuster assignment, adequate investigation, appropriate reserve setting and payment in accordance to best practice.
• Administer all TPA accounting related functions.
• Coordinate the return to work program.
• Manage and direct quarterly file review processes.
• Collaborate with Operations and Safety, in response to loss trends and best practices, to direct loss prevention efforts.
• Coordinate and direct investigation and resolution of third party claims e.g. water in gas, customer car damage.
• Prepare Monthly Financial and All Open Claims Accrual Meetings.
• Manage Weekly Lost Time Employee Benefit coordination.
• Support Director of Risk Management in the handling of all other claims e.g. Pollution and Property.
• 24/7 Availability if certain claims arise to manage and delegate efficiently to Outside Counsel or the Catastrophe team.
Requirements – Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in insurance, accounting, or finance.
• 10 years of claims handling experience, with extensive knowledge of worker’s compensation regulations.
• Claims certification is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work cross functional and maintain an effective working relationship with other groups including Human Resources, Safety, Accounting, Operational Management and Legal.
• Ability to multi-task and improvise in a fast paced working environment.
