Directs and oversees the HR Compliance function for Signet N.A. by creating processes, procedures and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Supports, leads and directs projects aimed at prevention, early detection, and education to reduce risk and promote compliance. Manages the inbound/outbound Employee Relations calls from managers and Team Members with the goal of resolving workplace conflict, minimizing employment risks, increasing effective performance, and compliance management. Investigates low to moderate risk level Team Member complaints, analyzes findings, recommends appropriate conclusive action, and conducts follow up work on remedial and preventative measures. Provides coaching and consultation to managers on ER issues. Supervises Investigation team and sets procedural guardrails to ensure consistent execution of all investigations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee all compliance-related activities across North America to ensure corporate policies, procedures and practices are accurate, up-to-date and compliant with all related federal, state and local laws. Identifies and resolves potential risk issues across projects; develops and maintains a service delivery model and governance process to establish a culture supportive of effective HR compliance management; conducts HR audits at the direction of employment counsel
• Oversee Employee Relations investigation team to ensure high quality investigations, process standardization and data accuracy and insight
• Manage Employee Relations Solution Center with high volume inbound/outbound ER/TA issue calls from Team Members and managers. Resolve employment issues, investigate/resolve low to moderate risk level ER complaints, partner with management on policy compliance and interpretation, and collaborate with management to resolve workplace conflict
• Ensure all ER issue and investigation data is thoroughly, accurately and professionally entered into the case management system. Create and submit a variety of ER reports as directed. Audit cases on a regular basis to ensure high compliance with organizational standards and expectations
• Standardize processes, tools, documentation and templates to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all programming
• Performs additional duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience preferred
• HR Experience with a focus on employee relations and customer service experience preferred
• 5-7 years of compliance and employee relations experience
• Must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, attention to detail and communication skills
• Bilingual skills a plus but not required
