Job Description
Calling the strategy-obsessed! The ideal candidate is ready to engage with the Inventory Management team and her/his merchant in developing the brand plans, managing inventory, and develop analysis to support the execution of the product category strategy. You will develop seasonal sales and inventory plans for multiple departments/categories based on trend, store profiles, and seasonal opportunities vs. historical performance; manage unit assortment plans by classification and store to maximize departmental sales volume opportunities.
The Senior Inventory Manager will be responsible for the management and oversight of multiple merchandise categories within the Direct Inventory Management group, providing daily guidance, direction, developmental coaching, and performance evaluation to subordinate team members.
Responsibilities/Duties
• Develop and manage multiple merchandising areas within direct inventory management group.
• Oversees the processes involved with the development of purchasing arrangements with suppliers to support company marketing and sales efforts. E.g. lead-times and order cycle
• Responsible for reviewing forecasting of future sales and demand at the SKU level by direct report
• Inventory Planners and ensuring appropriate adjustments are made if needed.
• Monitors all promotions (Print and Web for all KCDC brands) for stock, pricing, removals, and additions that may impact current and future inventory needs.
• Manages and provides guidance on all communication levels of enterprise personnel that is initiated and implemented by direct reports.
• Communicates details to Operations and Customer Relations staff that affect the quality of service rendered to our customers.
• When appropriate acts as a resource to Customer Service to assist in handling customer questions, product information, and quality concerns as they relate to planning activities.
• Responsible for the monthly review and execution of the Enterprise OTB.
• Work closely with Merchant partners in the review of current trends and the development of future forecast of sales, gross margin and receipt flow to ensure adherence to company inventory plans.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience) is required, preferably in Business.
• 10 years of relevant work experience in inventory management (in addition to degree or years of previous experience)
• 5 years managing employees
• 4 years of experience managing departments, functions, products, or projects
• Skilled proficiency in MS office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Advanced proficiency level with MS Excel (V-lookups, formulas, filtering, sorting, formatting)
• Advanced proficiency in computerized purchasing and inventory management systems, as well as PC-based spreadsheet analysis, statistics and data base application.
