Job Details
§ Develop and execute plans that allow Operations to achieve service and financial KPI’s and employee engagement objectives.
§ Ensure operational integrity by maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as company policies and standard procedures.
§ Work with the Director, HR and DC service partners to review and collect performance trends related to volume, service, safety, sanitation, inventory integrity, payroll, retention, financial performance, and capital and maintenance expense projects to communicate overall performance of the distribution center.
§ Utilize performance measurements and indicators to identify areas for improvement; leads team in development and execution of performance improvement initiatives.
§ Work with the leadership team to determine employee engagement strategies that foster employee growth, development, retention, and a friendly environment.
§ Assist Distribution Director to set operational goals, develop annual financial operational and capital plan; report monthly results to the annual operational plan.
§ Positive engagement with all DC employees in all work functions; work to foster Dollar General’s positive and participative image in the communities we operate.
Qualifications
§ Ability to communicate effectively and provide operational and overall performance reports.
§ Strong analytical and math skills; keen attention to detail.
§ Planning, forecasting, budgeting skills; sound financial acumen.
§ Experience and understanding of OSHA, FDA, and employee relations practices.
§ Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, payroll/personnel systems such as Kronos; extensive experience with Warehouse and Labor Management Systems.
§ Servant - Leadership management philosophy
Five + years’ experience in progressive levels of management roles in high-speed distribution or related logistics experience. Proven track record of successful distribution team leadership and demonstrated desire for building a positive workplace culture that respects the dignity and difference of others.
