General Responsibilities:
Overview
As the Director, Experience Design you lead our UX/UI Design efforts across the Web, Mobile Web, Mobile Apps, and alternative devices.
You’ll work closely with executive partners and key stakeholders in product, technology, marketing and customer service to forge exceptional experiences across the entire portfolio of Hertz brands.
As a thought leader for UX/UI Design you’ll raise the bar for excellence and foster a talented and passionate design community inspiring others.
Mandatory Requirements:
Core Responsibilities
• Oversee UX, information architecture, and visual design for all mobile and web products.
• Own the end-to-end UX design process and deliverables including the creation of user flows, wireframes, prototypes and development-ready assets.
• Build and manage a team of high functioning UI Design team that embraces creativity, rigor and data.
• Be the user-advocate by driving and evangelizing the use of behavioral analytics, voice of customer feedback and usability testing
• Collaborate with Product Management to drive product strategy and aid in the development of product roadmaps.
• Conduct competitive and industry research to identify best practices and emerging trends.
• Establish, maintain, and promote design guidelines and interaction standards.
• Inform the company’s innovation agenda and content strategy.
Skills
• The candidate should have 8+ years’ experience in digital, information architecture or user experience for a consumer brand and 4+ years’ experience leading design and implementation of complex digital experiences
• Proven success managing and coaching talented UX teams
• Proven success designing and optimizing web and mobile B2C experiences; B2B a plus.
• Ability to incorporate research, strategy and analytics into design decisions
• Mastery of UX interaction and design principles and deliverables including rapid prototyping, concept diagrams, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, experience maps, design patterns and annotated comps
• Solid understanding of design fundamentals across mobile and web platforms, including typography, iconography and color
