General Job Overview:
As the Associate Director for Mobile Retail Apps, you will lead a high performing team of product managers and own the roadmap to define new and innovative ways for our customers to discover and buy the best consumer electronics. You will be responsible for the multi-channel mobile app feature roadmap, with the goal to give our mobile app customers the ability to seamlessly and easily shop between channels.
You will partner with key internal teams including UX and Engineering to design, build and launch new app products and features that will meet both customer needs and business objectives. As a champion of your strategy and customers, you will evangelize your strategy and obtain buy-in from key stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership.
You will have a proven track record of owning and delivering world-class mobile experiences, ideally for a large retail company. You should be data driven and a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and can manage multiple projects simultaneously and along with your team drive them to completion.
Responsibilities Include:
• Define the multi-channel retail mobile app vision, strategy, and roadmap that will deliver customer value and BBY’s business and financial goals.
• Identify new opportunities, define the business case and drive organizational alignment.
• Prioritize and plan the resources needed to deliver key projects on budget and on time.
• Manage and mentor a team of Mobile App Product Managers
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years in product management, 7+ in digital based products
• 5+ years of experience owning and driving end-to-end product requirements across multiple technology teams. Able to prioritize complex and often competing deliverables, and run large meetings with technical and business leaders.
• 7+ years as a people manager
• Proven track record of owning and delivering innovative experiences to customers. Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements.
• Experience with varied software delivery methodologies such as forms of Agile Development, and/or Lean Development.
• Strong and articulate communicator; you are able to influence both peers and executives.
• Bachelor’s degree is required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters of Business Administration
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality
• Experience developing for mobile devices
