Position Summary
As a key member of the transformation team, the Senior Director of Primary Care Optimization will play a critical role defining the future state of primary care delivery for our company. You will lead the strategy and solution development that comprise the physical and digital manifestations of the primary care optimization strategy. You will lead strategy development and own the needs assessment, opportunity evaluation and road map development across all three pillars of primary care, with Directors leading one of each pillar. You will oversee a team designing and implementing pilots to test these solutions in collaboration with the relevant business units e.g., MinuteClinic. This will include directing teams to develop business cases to support investment / build decisions for necessary capabilities and oversee the development process across matrixed teams internally and/or with external partners.
In addition, the Senior Director will work extensively across internal stakeholders (Sr. Director/VP) to ensure existing Business Unit road maps are accounted for and supported by transformation’s product road map. The Senior Director role will require significant executive presence and presentation delivery skills, and the ability to make connections across disciplines and levels of seniority. You will often be tasked with facilitating senior executive discussion to secure alignment. The Senior Director of Transformation will report directly to the VP of Transformation and will work closely with executives from other functions, VP to EVP levels. This leader is an executive with the shown ability to operate strategically and execute within complex organizations through strong communication, analytical and process skills.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of work experience, with strong preferences for some combination of:
− Product development within healthcare
− Management consulting experience focused on healthcare strategy
− In-house corporate strategy experience within healthcare
Preferred Qualifications
• Payer/Provider experience
• History of leading complex projects involving multiple matrixed workgroups across a large endeavor/organization
• Strong communicator, both verbal and written, with executive presence and the ability to influence across functions and at all levels of an organization
• Ability to provide vision to large teams to guide multi-month fast-paced projects, establish key milestones driven by market/enterprise need, and direct teams on how to approach key initiatives, including identifying relevant data sources and subject matter experts
• Ability to build strong relationships with peers and senior executives including the capacity to “see around corner” to unlock potential roadblocks and secure necessary funds/resources
• Demonstrated organized, detail-oriented, and structured thinking and execution, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed in order to meet deadlines, demonstrating a high level of independent judgment and pro-activity

Bachelor required
MBA/Masters preferred
