Alorica – Vice President – Applications Development
Duties and Responsibilities
• Computer Systems Business Requirements Analysis - Work closely with technology and business leaders to determine requirements for automation in line with business strategy and goals.
• Computer Systems Design – Participate and contribute to the architecture and design of computer systems applications.
• Project Work Management - As a member of a project team, ensure application development projects and related tasks are completed on-time and on-budget.
• Computer Systems Production Support – Ensure a stable operating environment for computer applications.
• Support mergers and acquisitions of new businesses – Participate in the analysis of applications systems migration as part of mergers and acquisitions
Tasks required to complete duty
• Engage with computer systems users to define and author business requirements specific to automation tasks and processes.
• Create business requirement documents which will form the basis of computer automation projects in accordance to company’s professional practices and standards.
• As a member of the applications development team, engage in application design activities which will include application architecture, data structure design, process design.
• Contribute to the authoring and creation of system design specifications.
• Maintain current industry knowledge in application development methodologies such as waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
• Provide work estimates for tasks assigned in terms of time duration and resources needed.
• Provide estimates related to application development projects and tasks as required.
• Develop work package definitions and detail tasks required to complete project activities.
• Monitor self-progress in day-to-day task performance and provide status reports on progress.
• Provide day-to-day support to computer applications used in the operations of the business.
• Respond to production issues that may disrupt business operations and restore system services.
• Conduct analysis of the requirements of potential and acquired new businesses.
• Document migration and integration solutions for all required applications.
