This leadership role will oversee the global People, Communications, & Community (Human Resources & Communications) technology function for Qurate Retail Group. The Director will be responsible for: driving a strategic vision, building the global technology & platforms roadmap, ensuring the delivery of complex projects, and partnering closely with Information Technology, Finance, and Brand teams. This role will ensure that the business anticipates the future of the workforce from a technology perspective, in order to enhance the way team members work.
Job Description Details
Key Accountabilities:
• Define a strategic vision and roadmap for HR & Communications Technology in support of the People Strategy and vision for team member experience.
• Oversee the successful delivery of Technology solutions (projects and enhancements). This includes navigating and partnering with other business functions to align on the best approach, timing, and budgeting.
• Manage system configurations, enhancements, and technology upgrades - partnering with external vendors as appropriate and planning for change management.
• Lead a team of Applications Developers, Systems Analysts, and Data Architects to deliver initiatives and maintain systems globally.
• Manage vendor performance as it relates to established contractual agreements, enforcing implementation of protocols, policies, procedures, and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of applicable experience with HR Technology in a progressive company; prior people management experience required.
• Strong team leadership and communications skills.
• Extensive experience leading and fostering organizational partnerships between Human Resources, Information Technology, and Finance.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and achieve consensus among multiple stakeholders.
• Experience managing relationships with 3rd party vendors and cloud-based software service providers.
• Experience with HR process improvement, balancing the need for efficiency, optimization, team member experience, and compliance.
• Strong change management orientation for solving technical business issues.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, design, implement, and maintain changes in HR systems.
• Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to changes in schedules and priorities; highly adaptable.
• Experience leading systems Implementations; background in applications development is a plus.
• Workday experience preferred.
