Art Director, Digital Product Photography - West Elm

This Art Director helps drive the look and feel for our digital product photography. The proper design and art direction combined with the right content drives customer engagement with the brand. Visual content created from this role directly translates the brands business needs, ultimately driving revenue for the business.
Core responsibilities:
Operates with a solid grasp of brand's aesthetic. Collaborate with Director of Photography, the digital director and merchant partner in delivering the best photography for our digital channel and to support key product initiatives for each season. Partner with Producer to manage shoot crew in studio or on location and lead a shoot efficiently and effectively. Creatively manage shoot with internal team and production partners.Collaborate and clearly communicate with Stylist and Photographers to ensure concepts and brand vision are compelling & on brand.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
You'll need a strong understanding photo art direction and the ability to lead a team for all product photography needs in our website. You have a passion for interiors, art, and fashion with a high taste level. Key attributes include love for collaboration, strong communication skills and sense of ownership and urgency in delivering quality in all projects. To be successful here you'll also have a flexible personality to be able to thrive in the fast paced, reactive environment. Adept and agile in an evolving landscape of content creation.

• Bachelor's degree in art/design
• 3-5 years of experience in photo art direction, furniture brand preferred
• Some experience in video platforms is a plus
• Strong storytelling/narrative capability* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Management skills a plus
• Strong time management, communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task
