Overview
We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our Production staff. In this position you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. Favorable candidates will have some college experience, working knowledge of Adobe programs (especially Photoshop), and an eagerness to learn about book production.
Responsibilities
In this position you will work with the associates in the Digital Studio to:
• Photograph and/or scan original artwork and 3D products
• Digitally color correct and/or retouch images in Adobe Photoshop
• Resize and adjust resolution of digital images
• Prepare and preflight mechanicals in Adobe InDesign
• Inspect and create PDF files to supply to printers
• Print Epson proofs for color matching
• Organize and keep record of all files and assignments
• Meet and work collaboratively with Production and Design departments
Qualifications
• College experience
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, multitask, and problem solve
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Ability to interact and communicate with small and large groups
• High level of attention to detail and organization
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects
