Product Support Analyst, Metadata Operations, Americas
The Metadata Product Support Analyst (MPSA) will research, resolve, analyze, and determine root causes of metadata issues and errors. This role will be required to produce consistent, accurate, and complete information on critical issues to aid in the improvement of data quality and accuracy. The MPSA will also be expected to develop expertise in multiple areas of the Metadata Operations organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acquire knowledge of all areas of metadata (including, but not limited to, scheduling, content, channel lineup, rich media, matching) to provide solutions to problems/issues and make recommendations on how to avoid such problems in the future.
• Develop ideas for improving workflow processes and resolving metadata issues by identifying patterns and trends based on root-cause analysis of tickets that are opened by internal and external users of our data.
• Identify common, consistent problems in all aspects of metadata processes based on incoming tickets.
• Deliver high quality resolutions and analysis in a timely manner, manage the flow of tickets, and ensure data quality.
• Share ideas regarding new developments/initiatives to foster efficiencies.
• Find ways to streamline workflows/tasks; for example: by suggesting requirements for automation.
• Provide regular reports on data quality and trends based on analysis of incoming tickets.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
• Native or equivalent knowledge of English.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, tools, applications, etc.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
• Solid ability to visualize complexity in order to collaborate with team members in the problem-solving process.
• Strong desire to improve the status quo with the objective of continuous business growth.
• Ability to work in diverse company environment including interaction with internal and external resources.
Desirable
• Bachelors’ Degree – Business, Communications or related field.
• Knowledge of and/or interest in the entertainment business, especially in the U.S., Latin America and Brazil.
• Work experience or training in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of metadata warehousing.
• Native or equivalent knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese and/or French.
• Experience with Salesforce, Jira, and Zendesk a plus
