This position is primarily responsible for providing marketing support and customer service for Keno retailers within the Delaware Lottery’s retailer network. The position will work with the customer to provide maximum productivity within the retailer network by suggesting marketing tips and increasing sales. This is position will be cross-trained across all lottery products and work with the lottery sales department for best practices and cohesive positioning.
• Conduct training classes both classroom and in-store
• Visit retailers in assigned territories; build business relationship and help increase their sales utilizing sound marketing techniques
• Provide assistance to retailer network by resolving any issue that may arise whether it be accounting, game related or terminal
• Conduct research on new games and promotions
• Attend retailer rallies, public affairs, special events and Lottery parties
• Interact with Lottery personnel to foster that relationship
• Assist in recruiting new retailers and assist Lottery with upgrading existing retailers
• Attend monthly sales meetings
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
• Perform any other duties required by management
Position Requirements
• College degree preferred but not necessary
• Regular travel will be a weekly requirement of this position. Extensive travel will be required at times as well as occasional overnight trips
• At least 3 years of sales experience is preferred. However, related work experience would be considered
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
