We are looking for a dynamic Director, HR Business Partner to join our team. This role will support multiple business divisions across the organization. This role is based out of our Long Island City (Queens) headquarters with the need to travel to other US based locations as needed.
The Director, HR Business Partner is responsible for providing HR leadership and counsel to all assigned businesses areas. This position is the primary HR partner to senior business leaders.
Some of the key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: developing and leading effective people strategies that drive business performance; counsel; directing fulfillment of staffing requirements, including effective partnership with Talent Acquisition to attract talent for the future; ensuring management/employee actions are consistent with company values; facilitating the effective rollout of enterprise-wide HR initiatives including goal setting, year-end performance reviews, salary planning and administration, talent reviews and succession planning, and engagement surveys; Collaborating with leaders on identifying learning and development needs, and partnering with Talent colleagues to deliver appropriate learning and development support.
◦ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related degree. Master’s degree preferred.
◦ 8+ years of progressive HR experience. Prior experience in an HR Business Partner role preferred.
◦ Strong analytical skills with the ability to use and interpret data to both guide and validate decisions.
◦ Results orientation with the ability to quickly identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
◦ Working knowledge, understanding, and practical application of employment laws and HR practices.
◦ Ability to quickly grasp the “big picture”, using insights from business leaders, HRBP colleagues and COE
◦ Proven track record of successful conflict resolution, negotiation, and counseling.
◦ Exhibits a proactive, highly adaptable, levelheaded management approach.
◦ Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills with the ability to distinguish the ‘important from the urgent’.
