JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports Arizona is searching for National Sales Manager (NSM) to join their team in Phoenix. This position is responsible for achieving the National Ad Sales revenue budget on an annual basis at FOX Sports Arizona. In addition to linear TV, this includes monetizing our digital and social media platform opportunities. Duties include driving national revenue for Arizona by developing national client relationships in the market, providing strategic sales direction to Home Team Sports (HTS) Account Executives, along with monitoring national pipeline activity. The incumbent will work closely with the VP/General Sales Manager (GSM) to create sponsorship opportunities and the national revenue forecasting.
Responsibilities
• Develops national sponsorship targets, proposals and creates client-facing plans to close new business as well as strategically growing existing accounts.
• Includes a quarterly travel plan related to new business targets and stewardship. Also interfaces with sport Team Partners to explore joint business opportunities - meets with internal Production and Marketing departments to create and drive new offerings.
• Manages strategy, activity and communication with HTS national sales offices - includes updating HTS on special opportunities for market.
• Communicates regularly with VP/GSM regarding activity status as well as impacts on inventory and pricing. Uses company assets at sporting and concert events with existing and potential clients to create and grow business.
• Reviews and approves all national orders. Stewards national sales accounts in conjunction with Sales Planner to include ratings/audience delivery, execution of sales elements and delivery of air checks.
• Prepares bi-weekly national revenue forecast. Maintains real-time national account status tracking.
Qualifications
• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 3 years sales experience is necessary with prior media sales experience highly preferred. Prior advertising agency or professional team experience is a plus.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Great organizational and project management skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of program ratings methodology is necessary.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is important.
• A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective business relationships is essential.
