The Lead Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for sourcing, contract negotiations, contract lifecycle management, supplier performance reviews and category analysis in support of Centurylink’s acquisition of goods and services for [Hiring Manager to put high level description here (example: network infrastructure / services / IT / CPE)]
Job Description
• Manages the relationship cycle with vendors. Negotiates and renegotiates new and existing agreements or statements of work, including requests for information or requests for proposals. Prepare scope documents, communications plans and contract awards. Actively partners with legal teams and stakeholders to develop and execute negotiation strategies that include optimal targets for pricing, service, and quality.
• Makes decisions that require consistent recognition of a wide range of complex, specialized issues, problems and opportunities across the Company’s negotiation and purchasing of indirect services procurement. Steadily identifies the need for and collects information to better understand issues, problems and opportunities.
• Responsible for category strategy by developing process improvement efforts aimed at reducing the total cost of ownership. Improves on time/quality performance, settles vendor disputes, and builds alliances and relationships with strategic vendors.
• Applies project management experience in creating and managing multiple project schedules for significant internal and external customer facing projects. Identifies time frames and holds self and others accountable for meeting milestones.
• End to end contract manage all services and commodities; inclusive of major infrastructure and release estate construction,
• Contract knowledge to assist CenturyLink Attorney and Business Unit with participant litigations and supplier performance issues; attend meetings, provide contract history, supplier notifications and development of action plans
• Develop Service Annexes for various Commodities
• Manage RFQ’s/RFI’s, this position works with stakeholders to develop the RFP questions, vendors to be included, compiles responses, creates the scorecard, schedules/leads scoring discussion, schedules/leads finalist meetings, etc.
• Works with Procurement contracting, securing appropriate Master Services contract. Assist’s in the development of the Statement of Work and Performance Guarantees, working with the appropriate stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
• Minimum 6 plus years of related experience or 4 plus with a Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated communication and project management skills working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing supplier relationships for an assigned set of products and/or services including regular supplier performance reviews and discussions.
• Intermediate to advanced professional experience in the sourcing and/or contracting (negotiations, drafting and administration) of communications products, software, professional services and/or other relevant experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office experience, intermediate in excel preferred
• Strong to expert knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba or Oracle.
Preferred:
• Subject matter expert in one of more Sourcing area of Construction, Infrastructure and Real Estate Indirect Services with broad knowledge in several areas.
• Master’s degree or J.D.
