Bose Corporation is seeking an Engineering Operations Manager to join our communication headset team developing products that support our Aviation and Military customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the process behind engineering and the interfaces with the Business groups, Design Assurance / Quality groups and our production partners.
As the Engineering Operations Manager, you will be a key player on the engineering team that develops and produces sophisticated headsets that are recognized for their performance and reliability. You will work with this team driving the development and improvement of our processes to ensure that as the team grows, we grow in our efficiency.
The successful candidate will be a natural leader with strong communications skills who enjoys developing and working in a collaborative and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
Identify and implement improvements to our existing product development process and continuous engineering efforts
Develop a deep understanding of the group’s strategic objectives and uses the knowledge to increase the effectiveness of the engineering team and the support groups
Develops tools and metrics to automate and implement processes
Provide recommendations for improvements that will yield higher engineering velocity, productivity, quality and cost savings
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience working in roles related to engineering product development and sustaining engineering
Minimum of 2 years of engineering program management developing and launching products
Demonstrated experience implementing processes to improve quality, efficiency and timeliness
Strong written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s, Master’s degree in Engineering (B.S.M.E. or B.S.E.E. or related field) from an accredited university; minimum 5 to 8 years relevant work experience which included supervisory / management / leadership roles.
