Overview
Serves as a subject matter expert within a functin by offering advice on comlex issues within their area of expertise. Provides creative and effective solutions to problems, and is directly involved with planning projects, initiatives, policies or program changes to support the strategic goals established at higher levels. Has complete knowledge of the functional area, works independently and interacts with business leaders across Canon. May provide input into strategy develoment. Typically reports to a Director or Senior Director, and may mentor or supervise one or two less experienced professional staff.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for defining the short and long term goals, channel development, sales strategy, and execution of CSA BSD Vertical Market offerings and the execution of those goals over time in order to improve CSA BSD market position and revenues.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of developments in Vertical Markets including the creation of original research regarding top organizations and institutions in their respective industries their print programs and best practices in order to assess the competitiveness of the BSD offering and determine how to improve it.
• Advise Canon Senior Leadership regarding strategies to improve program value in existing BSD Vertical Market customers.
• Develop marketing strategy and branding for unique Vertical Market offerings including the creation of new marketing and sales collateral.
• Meet with Vertical Market C-level Executives through executive referrals, conference leads, sustainability organizations, and customer prospecting to discuss a strategic relationship with Canon based upon a leading edge, consolidated print strategy.
• Engage third party procurement Best Value consultants in developing collaborative selling strategies for Vertical Markets and partner with them through the Sales process.
• Train a specialized team of BSD Sales Executives and Business Analysts who will focus on the new Vertical Market sales strategy so they are prepared to support developed opportunities.
• Speak at industry events and conferences targeting Vertical Market executives, visionaries and administrators in order to enhance visibility of the CSA BSD brand. Develop and maintain relationships with key industry influencers to enhance CSA BSD exposure to the market and position Company among Thought Leaders in Vertical Market solution delivery.
• Develop and formalize new ways that BSD can enrich the Canon – Vertical Market customer relationship through such initiatives and actions as grants, R&D efforts, technology exposure and internship program development.
Qualifications
'-Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 9 years of related experience.
-At least 5 years of experience in an IT or related consulting role.
-10-15 years industry experience preferred
