IT Manager, NOC Tools
The IT department is seeking an IT manager who will be responsible for the management of a team of engineers and systems providing operational services in a corporate Data Center environment.
Responsibilities & Duties:
• Responsible for managing budget constraints and objectives.
• Develops NOC operational procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Participates in setting departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
• Responsible for proper staffing and cross-training of personnel.
• Reviews and coordinates new production systems.
• Directs establishment of procedures, run books, and flowcharts for new systems.
• Responsible for all computer job scheduling, systems monitoring, data backups, and operational standards.
• Coordinates departmental resources to resolve production problems
Essential Abilities or Functions:
• Strong Leadership abilities and experience
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
• Training or Experience in IT systems monitoring protocols and technologies
• Understanding of job scheduler applications (hands-on experience is a plus)
• Knowledge of data backup technologies
• Strong familiarity with Windows, Linux, and scripting
• Experience or working knowledge of cloud service technologies
• Ability to lead a project as well as participate as a competent team member
• Willingness to effectively mentor and manage a technical support team
• Occasional work on nights and weekends (on-call availability is a requirement)
Experience & Education (minimum requirements):
• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Supervision experience
• 3-5 years experience in Windows/UNIX environment.
