Job Summary
We are currently seeking highly motivated Group Director to manage multiple teams and client portfolios across our rapidly growing Search Marketing practice. Key tasks will include team leadership, establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients, developing and administering Search and Digital account strategy, development of POVs for internal / external partners, mentoring of junior staff and championing a test/learn innovation culture.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• 20% - Lead applicable Client relationship(s) on behalf of Search team.
• 20% - Develop Paid Search strategy and testing methodology and roadmap for client(s).
• 5% - Manage subset of Search team across multiple clients, establishing/refining processes for creating, implementing, tracking, analyzing and optimizing Paid Search campaigns in Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, Bing, and other search engines.
• 5% - Manage daily relationships with key search engine representatives.
• 20% - Set and manage expectation of client and internal teams.
• 15% - Motivate and inspire cross-section of team members from junior analysts through associate directors to drive continual performance improvements in client business.
• 10% - Drive new business engagements from RFP completion, strategy development, prospective client pitch through transition to Horizon management.
• 5% - Evaluate new technologies / strategies / techniques across the search landscape and gauge potential for experimentation within existing / new client engagements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
In this position, you will directly manage Directors, Associate Directors, Managers, and Analyst-level team members.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• 8+ years’ experience directly related to Search Engine Marketing (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc.) with a focus on direct response campaigns (CPA, CPL, ROI, ROAS.)
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone, through email, and in writing.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Strong command / expertise in managing bid optimization platforms (DART Search, Kenshoo, Marin.)
• Advanced MS Excel fluency required (pivot tables, charts, vlookup, sumifs.)
• Experience in leveraging site analytics programs for SEM analysis / insights (Google Analytics, Omniture, CoreMetrics.)
